Synomial Sarcoma of the Tendon Sheath Origin

Abstract
A case of synovial sarcoma,. originated from the flexor digitorum profundus lendon of the right forearm 1s reported.
The case is a 19 years old girl with complaint of limitation of extension of the middle and little finger (extension). Physical examination revealed a movable, non-tender and firm mass at the ulnar side of the volar aspect of the forearmey The mass,. measured 11 X 4 X 4 cm, was removed surgically and it was found ¢¥that the tumor loosely attached to periosteum of the ulner shaft and the flexor digitorum profundus muscle. However, some part of the tendon and muscle fibers were infiltrated by the tumor tissue. The limitation of the finger motions were recovered immediately after the removal of the tumor.
The final diagnosis of the synovial sarcoma was confirmed by histo pathological logical study.
